HOP on to City LINK for a free ride

HOP users will continue to ride free on Auckland Central’s City LINK bus service when the fare changes on 1 January 2012.

The introductory free travel offer on the City LINK expires on 31 December and cash fares of 50 cents for adults and 30 cents for children will be introduced. However those travelling using their HOP card will continue to travel free. Just tag on and tag off to get your free trip.

To allow free travel on the City LINK cards cannot have a negative balance. Only one passenger per HOP card can travel free.
